Phosphorescence, is a brand new line of sunnies from creative director Hisham Bharoocha, known for his band Soft Circle, numerous fine art endeavors, and general downtown New York ubiquity.

A fresh new collection of frames include a collaboration of designs with an array of New York City hipsters such as Erin Wasson, Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, United Bamboo, Zero + Maria Cornejo, No Age, Opening Ceremony, and Rockers NYC. These sunnies will be what all the New York cool kids will be wearing this summer.

Via an article in Refinery 29 said of artist Hisham Akira Bharoocha; 'You might recognize Bharoocha from spreads in i-D, exhibitions at Deitch Projects, or gigs with bands like Lighting Bolto, Black Dice, or Soft Circle (yep, he was a founding member in all of 'em), so you're not exactly in shock-and-awe that his creative juices have taken a sartorial inclination.'

Now I have to be honest, before coming across this article on the exciting new line, Hisham had never really came under my radar before but now after seeing this stellar new collection, he is well & truly there to stay. I love this collab range from light blue and pink shdes to bolder black frames to a pewter gray number.

Hisham described Phosphorescence as an arena for creative people to collaborate, and this is an impressive start. I am very interested to see what he comes up with next.
